Stock Market experience after 3.5years

This will be my second stock market experience sharing on Medium. You can read my first experience sharing here.

As mentioned in first article, this is about my own experience and my thought about Colombo Stock Exchange experience. This is not an investment advice , just sharing my thoughts.

Last 2.5years had been economical tough period for Sri Lanka. Despite economic meltdown, stock market perform well. But with less experience and hoping I know economic well lost many opportunities for me. I am going to list them here.

• During 2022 economic meltdown and bankruptcy announcements, I thought stocks will go down and didnt buy hoping to collect them at very low prices. Even had a feeling that CSE will become kind of penny stock all together.
• When central bank raise interest rates above 25%, I thought the same. With initial market drop after interest rates hike, I thought stock prices will going down further and further.
• Thinking banking shares will go down with IMF debt restructuring plans. Sold most of banking shares for around 10% profit before financial shares prices start to raise.
• Having the fear of losing money if buy now. Always thought prices will go further and further down.
